I can see the advertisements now:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Read for hundreds of hours without changing batteries \u2014 just like paperbacks!<br \/> Great resolution \u2014 just like paperbacks!<br \/> Magically disappears after 60 days \u2014 just like paperbacks!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Didn&#8217;t they learn anything from minidisc?<\/p>\n<p>Of course, this time their system is Linux-based, and Sony is making at least <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sony.net\/Products\/Linux\/Download\/EBR-1000EP.html\">some of their software<\/a> available online, so people might be able to write their own content for what sounds like decent and certainly interesting hardware technology.
