Locked box decorated with the 13 icons from the 13th Age RPG. The icon representing the Prince of Shadows is actually a hidden button that opens the latch.
In 2018 I got a Glowforge laser cutter and started designing boxes myself instead of modifying thrift-store jewelry boxes. I wanted my first box to be something both beautiful and personal, so I designed this box with images from 13th Age, an RPG designed by the design studio Jay founded along with Rob Heinsoo.

The lid is etched with the symbols from the 13 "Icons" from the game, but careful observation reveals that the symbol for the Prince of Shadows (leftmost icon on the right-hand side of the box) is actually a button that opens the latch.
